Why Should you start a 30 day Yoga Challenge?

As a Yoga Teacher, I hear so many phrases from people that prevent them from trying yoga.

‘I’m Flexible enough”

“My Body can’t move that way”

“I just don’t have the time to do yoga!”

“I don’t know how to do it”

And Honestly, I completely understand. It’s normal to have a little hesitation around starting anything new, All of these phrases should be the reason you choose to explore yoga. Yoga helps you to increase your flexibility, mobility and functional movement in your body!

As your instructor, I am here to guide you through each practice. I encourage you to remember that these are practices and you are not meant to be perfect at each one. With practice your body builds muscle memory and the movements will become more familiar along the way.

I love to offer different variations that may work for different bodies. So many people may think that their body cannot move in certain ways, however, it may just take a little creativity to achieve it.

One last note on practicing yoga is that it does not have to take up a lot of your time! You can have a 5, 10, 20,30 or 60 minute practice. Ultimately your practice is up to you, and you can decide how often and long you would like to experience your practice.

This Yoga Challenge will help you to start, restart or enhance your yoga journey. You will be guided through each practice, which will help you to increase your flexibility, mobility, and move your body in different ways. This Challenge also allows you to do it all at your own pace!

How to Participate in this Yoga Challenge

Step 1: Sign Up for the Email List

You will receive an email each containing a 10 minute practice. This practice may be a Guided Asana practice, a Guided Meditation, or a Journal Reflection.

Step 2: Download Your Yoga Challenge Calendar

Take a moment to download the Yoga Challenge Calendar to help you track your own progress. This can help especially if you have to pause your journey temporarily.

Step 3: Join Our Facebook Yoga Challenge Group

Our growing community is here to support you throughout this challenge. You can share with the group how your experience was with each practice, and share photos and videos of your practice. You can also share share any funny or motivational quotes. This group is for community building and support!

Step 4: Find a Dedicated Space to Practice

Take time to find a space to practice in your home, office, or outside. The space doesn’t have to be huge, but have enough room for your mat, and arm space around.

Step 5: Gather Yoga Props into your Dedicated Space

Before the Challenges begins, you will receive a video explaining the yoga props you will need throughout the challenge. It may help to gather these props into your space before you begin your challenge, so that you can easily grab what is needed before each practice. When you receive your daily video practice, you will be notified of the props that are needed for that particular day.

Step 6: Determine the Best Time to Practice

Think of a time of day where you can practice with little to no distractions. This can be in the mornings before you start your day, midday for an afternoon pick-me-up, or in the evening. Keep in mind that this time can change due to your schedule, and that is okay! Adjust your times as needed.

Step 7: Experience Your Yoga Practice Each Day

Take the time you’ve designated for your practice to Do your yoga sessions each day. Don’t forget that you have the option of journaling about your practice when you are done.

Step 8: Give Yourself Grace Along the Way

Please keep in mind that there may be times where you have to pause your challenge temporarily. This is okay. This Challenge is designed for you to be able to practice at your own pace.
